THOMAS J. CAMMARATA

B.S. in 1966 from Seton Hall University. Juris Doctorate Degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1969. Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor from 1970 to 1972. Founding partner of the law firm of Shaljian, Cammarata & O'Connor, which was one of the predecessor firms to the current firm, Cammarata, Nulty & Garrigan.

Mr. Cammarata has over 35 years of experience handling complex criminal matters both in the State Courts of New Jersey and the Federal Courts of New Jersey and New York. He has extensive experience handling appellate matters in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division and in the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He previously served as an Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Kearny as labor counsel. He has extensive experience representing law enforcement members in departmental and criminal matters. He is an approved attorney for the Legal Protection Plan for the police officers and the New Jersey State Police Legal Plan. He has acted as counsel for numerous police organizations, including the Jersey City P.B.A., the Union City P.B.A., the Hudson County Superior Corrections Officers and the Hudson County Superior Police Officers. He has extensive experience in civil service appeals which includes handling matters before the Office of Administrative Law and the Merit System Board. He has vast experience in labor arbitrations and negotiations and currently represents Local 1478-2 of the International Longshoremen's Association and Local 1235 of the International Longshoremen's Association.

Mr. Cammarata is a member of the bar of the State of New Jersey, the Federal District Court of New Jersey and New York and the United States Third Circuit of Appeals. Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Hudson County Bar Association and the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey.
